Position Vacant - Engineering Draftsman
Delta Hydraulics is a world leader in the design and manufacture of Hydraulics Cylinders and
components. We currently have an opportunity available for a Qualified and Experienced Mechanical
Drafter to join our Engineering and Design Team. This position will give you the opportunity to be part a
team working on cutting edge projects in the area of Hydraulic Cylinder design. You will also be involved
in the design of specialty machines, jigs and tooling to assist in the manufacture of our products.
Duties:
Preparation and detailing of technical drawings using CAD software
Reverse engineering of components
Preparation of technical documentation
Checking drawings to the appropriate standards
Design and draw Hydraulic Cylinders to meet customer specifications
Assist the Senior Draftsman in the training of cadets
Consult with workshop supervisors and personnel regarding design of jigs and tooling
Selection Criteria:
Cert IV in Engineering Drafting or Mechanical Engineering Diploma essential
Experience using AutoCAD drafting software essential
Have a broad knowledge of AS1100
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Experience or knowledge of Industrial Hydraulics and Fluid Power desirable.
Familiarity with the use of Microsoft Office
Have good computer skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills

Position Vacant - Trainee Engineering Draftsman
Delta Hydraulics is a world leader in the design and manufacture Hydraulics Cylinders and components.
We currently have an opportunity available for a Trainee Mechanical Drafter to join our Engineering and
Design Team.
The traineeship will be run over a three-year period. You will be mentored along the way by industry leading engineers and technical professionals with a wealth of drafting experience and will have the opportunity to work on exciting cutting-edge projects.
As part of your learning experience you will have the opportunity to spend time in our workshop and assist in the manufacture of our products.
On completion of your traineeship you will receive an industry recognised qualification and continue to
have an exciting career with Delta Hydraulics.
Duties:

Assist in the preparation of technical documentation
Selection Criteria:
Willingness to undertake a Cert IV in Engineering Drafting
Have some knowledge of Engineering drawings
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Familiarity with AutoCAD drafting software desirable but not essential
Familiarity with the use of Microsoft Office
Have good computer skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
